Does it need mobile data?
The ride communicates directly between nearby phones using Wi-Fi Aware. You need internet access to download or update the app, but a mobile network is not required for the ride itself.
Will every Android phone work?
No. Android 14 or newer is required, together with usable Wi-Fi Aware support. Hardware, firmware, available radio resources, and headset audio routing matter. Use the app’s setup checks while parked.
How many people can join?
The protocol supports a roster of up to 12 riders. This software limit is not a guarantee that every group of 12 phones will maintain a reliable radio connection in every riding condition.
What range and battery life can I expect?
There is no qualified range or battery-duration claim yet. Phone models, spacing, terrain, radio conditions, and headset behavior can change the result. Test your setup before relying on it.
Can someone join after we start?
Membership is fixed when the organizer closes admission and starts the ride. Get everyone approved before starting.
Is the iPhone version available?
Not yet. The iOS version is in development; there is no release date or App Store download at present. The screenshots show the Android application.
